The
Mountain features both high and low
challenge courses. Designed to enhance
team building, and communication skills,
the low challenge course is accessible
to a wide range of skill and ability
levels. The high ropes course challenges
individuals to conquer their fears.
Indoor and outdoor initiatives and
group games make the serious work
of improving group dynamics fun! Advance
arrangements for these activities
must be made, as fully trained and
certified Mountain staff are required
for the challenge courses, and due
to programming commitments, may not
always be available.
Outdoor
Adventure
The Mountain is located in the midst
of the Nantahala National Forest,
and hiking opportunities abound in
our local area. There are many trails
on the Mountain property and the Mountain
staff is happy to offer suggestions
and provide trail maps. Additional
information can be found at the Highlands
Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center
website.
Water
sports are always
a favorite for people visiting The
Mountain. There are a number of outdoor
outfitters in our area who provide
whitewater rafting and canoeing on
local rivers and The Mountain staff
is happy to provide information on
local swimming holes and rock slides.
For more information on outdoor outfitters,
visit the Highlands
Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center
website.
Don't miss out on
the many activities available at The Mountain during your group's stay.
